Pakistan is facing "a monsoon on steroids", the UN's Secretary General announced. The 2022 floods submerged a third of the country between June to August 2022 as unprecedented monsoon rains ravaged an already struggling country with a poor economy.

To date, at least 1,700 people have been killed. Around 33 million people – or 1 in 7 people in the country – have been impacted by these floods. For context, that’s the equivalent of almost half the population of the UK.

Our dear brothers in the AJK Gospel Partnership reached out to their Radstock family and you were moved to pray and help.

Thank you so much. Your generous gifts and prayers have been so welcomed and effective in bringing some relief. AJK was affected only minimally, but our brother “Norman” and his teams are busy planting churches in the south of Pakistan where the floods hit worst of all.

He wrote:
“Dear friends please pray for Pakistan. Millions of people have been affected due to floods. Many have lost their loved ones, their homes, their livelihoods and crops are destroyed as well. Our churches in Sindh area are badly affected and many there have lost their homes and savings, crops and now they are homeless. They have sent us request about food packets, medicine, and shelters. Keep them in your prayers.”

“Norman” with his team, were able to temporarily meet the needs of dozens and dozens of families with essential foodstuffs, blankets, medicine and mosquito nets. “Arthur” too was able to serve many families with links to his churches and ministry in AJK.

Many are Muslims and have their unbelieving hearts and minds recalibrated when they are met with such kindness. When you have lost everything, the kindness of Christians serving you and keeping you and your family alive makes an enormous impact.

We have great confidence that as they pass on these gifts from you, our brothers and sisters from the AJK Gospel Partnership will be sharing God’s Word to those whom they minister.
