Can you imagine living in a place where there are no other known followers of Jesus? Delegates at the Radstock Round Table last month had the opportunity to imagine just that.

The Balkan Round Table was held in a Macedonian city where there is still no church beyond the Radstock team. Attendees visited a larger nearby city with not one known Christian -- and where Radstock member churches plan to plant a church next year.

Attendees were challenged and inspired by believers who are truly counting the cost of discipleship, and shared stories and expertise across cultural lines -- from Zambia, Kosova, Albania, Bosnia and Macedonia to Britain and America. We are so excited to see God building his church in places where there is currently no gospel witness.

We feel that the Lord is leading Radstock to participate in mission specifically to these hard places, as more and more activity is happening in traditionally unengaged and unreached Muslim regions and other challenging areas which we cannot mention here because of security.

Radstock’s Executive Director, Brian Jose, makes the urgency of this work clear: “There are so many millions heading to a lost eternity with so few (if any) preachers among them. Praise God that He’s calling a few Albanians who go to some of these places -- travelling with their families, in some cases on the bus, carrying broken suitcases and no guarantees of support.”

One Balkan church planter said, “People ask me what is my strategy for reaching these people, and I tell them I have no strategy. I am just going to love them. That is my strategy. It is not my work but God’s church.”  

Pray with us for new church plants in Macedonia and Bosnia, for open doors in dangerous regions and for gospel ministers to grow up from our own churches with a passion for the nations and real boldness to go to those who have never heard with the good news of Jesus.
