Looking Forward To The US Forum

Posted by Radstock Ministries on

By Sarah Attwood, Church planting team member with Radstock.

On 17-18 May, Grace Church, White Lake, Michigan, will host the second Radstock US forum. One of the speakers will be Radstock US Director, Mike Park (pictured above).

Mike's own first encounter with Radstock was at a Roundtable conference in Virginia, USA, several years ago. He shared some of his experiences since joining the network, and why he's looking forward to the US Forum.

What most excites Mike about Radstock is the people. As a global network, with churches and projects in many far-flung places "the Radstock partnership model helps member churches take a greater interest in missions, and form deeper and more fruitful relationships."

These relationships have given Mike the opportunity to work with "many sincere people who love Christ and His church", both within the US and around the world.

As US Director, Mike has the opportunity of presenting Radstock's network model - churches connected for global mission - and his experience has been that most churches find it refreshing and believe it to be a more sustainable way of doing missions. Many of these churches have since 'hit the ground running' with membership and partnerships.

The forum promises to be a great time for network churches, both new and old, to meet together and build on this momentum. It will be an opportunity to hear from partner churches within North America and around the world, with delegates also attending from Canada, N.Europe and the Balkans.

As with any Radstock gathering there is sure to be good fellowship, discussion and coffee; joy in the presence of God, and much prayer. As US Board member, Tom Llewelyn, reflected last year: "The reports, punctuated by prayer and fellowship, were a real plus. I believe these forums can grow our churches as more effective co-workers with national missionaries for the progress of the gospel - to the greater glory of God."
