Gospel Opportunities At Albanian Summer Camps

Camping remains a vital ministry for many Albanian churches and church planting projects. Form varies: beach or mountains, day-camp or on-site, large or small. Beyond the evangelism, Eagles Church in Tirana reports that camps bring "a momentum in our church life, resulting not only in reaching more people, but also in raising the new leaders. Three of our key young leaders have been shaped and have taken on more responsibilities after being delegated responsibilities during the summer camp."

Typically a four-day camp costs $100 and the participants pay varying contributions to their costs, according to their economic situation. Most churches aim for at least half of their campers being friends who are not regular church members.
