Ukraine Emergency Fund (continued)

Posted by Radstock Ministries on

16 months into the invasion of Ukraine, many feel weary.

"When you're hearing sirens, even explosions, night after night, it takes its toll on your health and how you feel - you're so tired,'
explains Yaroslav Nazarkevych, pastor of Central Baptist Church, Lviv.

"But we're trying to continue in ministry, grateful to God for opening enormous opportunities in this time of war."

For over a year, believers have been caring for internally-displaced women, as well as widows and orphans of the war. "These special ladies with very difficult stories: they have lost husbands and sons to death of captivity. One even gives praise that her son was killed rather than being tortured..."

The church continues to feed people physically and spiritually. "We wondered why ladies were bringing empty plastic bags to those meetings," Yaroslav comments. "It was to take leftovers home - they are surviving, not living fancy lives."

Starting this week, the church will run several camps for those they have already been serving for so long.

"Most of them had no clue about God, but many are now reading New Testament's, visiting services, even asking about repentance and baptism. Camp will help them to 'digest' what they have been hearing."

"... We will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6v9)

Last year, helped by prayers and giving from across Radstock, the Lviv church held a camp in Mina (liberated territory) for 160 children and teenagers affected by the war.

"God put it on our hearts to help that small church - about 15 elderly people. Nearly 20 young people asked Christ into their lives!" Now over 30 people are in the Mean church regularly - plus a similar number of young people.

How much more harvest might be reaped for the Lord if we help weary believers in Ukraine not to give up doing good!

Could you give - once or regularly - to radstock's ukraine emergency fund?

Help believers in Ukraine and Poland keep going in their war responses. Camps take people away from where they hear sirens every night, gives them a few good nights of food, sleep and rest. There will be time for Bible study and an opportunity to follow Christ.
