These are days of possibility for Carrigaline Baptist Church (CBC) in County Cork, Ireland. Their long-standing relationship with a Baptist pastor in Rezekne, Latvia, originated through Radstock - and with the help of the wider Radstock network, they are now exploring how to develop this connection for mission.

In April 2006, the church family in Carrigaline hosted a team from Radstock churches for a ‘mission consultation'. As well as introducing other churches in the Cork area to Radstock, the team helped CBC to think about their next step in global mission and how they could strengthen relationships with the church in Rezekne - for the sake of mission in Ireland, Latvia and perhaps beyond!

Carrigaline is also seeking to develop partnerships with churches who desire to further the ministry of CBC in their surrounding community.  There are several opportunities for others to get involved: 

  • Carrigaline has a vision to have community building/outreach centre and seek input on developing this idea.
  • Longer-term workers are need to develop relationships, encourage local believers and disciple and train potential leaders within the church.
  • Carrigaline is currently seeking funding for a youth worker.
